TIMETABLING THE DAY
Suggested timetables for a day in school

  • To help you plan the day, here are sample schedules that have worked successfully in primary schools (scroll to bottom of page for secondary schools).

  • Your timings will probably differ a little from these, but they should give you a realistic idea as to what is possible.

  • Prior to my visit, I will agree actual timings, sessions, and class / year involvement with you.

KS3 visit : Secondary schools

  • Schedules for secondary schools can be worked around lesson / period times - please contact me with your day's lesson times
  • The visit can include talks and workshops
  • A workshop will need at least two full lessons (two hours)
  • It can be for your own students
  • It can be as a transition event for Y6 children intending to transfer to your school
  • It can be as a mentoring event for older children to work with younger ones (eg Y9s work with Y6s, Y10s work with under-achieving Y7s, and so on)
  • It can be as part of an enrichment programme (eg a history focus week, a non-fiction week, and so on)
